The reason I do photography at all is that I have a real love of what I'm photographing. There is something truly intimate, beautiful and profound to me to be able capture a particular moment and time. I love that while the image is fixed, the meaning of it continues to change as we change. Being a photographer also keeps me sane; it gives me empathy for all kinds of people and reminds me to look for the beauty in things--because it's always there.
I feel extremely blessed to get to live and work in Napa with my husband, our two boys, our chickens and bees, and an enormous puppy.
